New Case File – Richard Flynn (GA)

by Case Auditor | Jun 30, 2026 | New Case Announcement

Richard Flynn was arrested at the Cherokee County public-safety complex after a suspicious-person call
escalated into a facility lockdown and bomb-squad response. He was charged with loitering or prowling and
felony motor-vehicle theft.

But the available text messages appear to show that the alleged vehicle owner, Jason Jenkins, expressly
told Flynn he could use the Isuzu and directed him to Chad at Mauldin’s for the keys. A key-delivery witness
also says she delivered the keys because she was instructed to do so.

Jenkins later told Flynn’s mother and friend that Flynn had said he placed a bomb in the truck. The Sheriff’s
written narrative does not document that confession. Instead, it says Flynn was vague about the truck’s
contents and that officers independently requested K-9 sweeps.

The public deserves the complete evidence: bodycam, interview-room footage, TAC1 audio, K-9 and EOD
reports, Jenkins’s county communications, device-access records, and the evidence Flynn says he was
trying to submit.
